UGREEN Revodok Max 8-in-1 Thunderbolt 4 Docking Station

While this Thunderbolt 4 dock lacks some basic features such as a card reader or audio ports, it makes up for it with three downstream Thunderbolt 4 ports which are highly adaptable, the ability to hook your laptop up to a wired network without using an adapter, and the 85W charging which is great for larger laptops.

The build quality is very good, it seems well made, the aluminium chassis will help to keep it cool, and in general it looks and feels like a premium device. The Thunderbolt ports are located on the back of the dock along with the Ethernet port and power input. At the front you get three USB-A ports and the power button.

The Thunderbolt 4 ports give you very fast data transfer speeds, up to 15W of power delivery and the ability to connect directly to USB-C monitors, storage devices, and adapters for pretty much anything.

The front Type-A ports can be used for memory sticks and peripherals such as a mouse or keyboard. They don’t have any power output though so if you use a device which requires power then it needs to be powered separately.

Up to two of the Thunderbolt 4 ports can be used to connect external displays. You can either run a single 8K display at 30Hz on Windows, or two 4K displays at 60Hz on Windows or Mac.

I love the built-in ethernet port, you don’t see this on many docks, and I much prefer to use ethernet over Wi-fi any day of the week as its always better. Having a power button is also very useful so you can shut the connection to your laptop down without having to pull the cable out if you won’t use it for a while.

It’s a shame you only get eight ports in total, especially at this price point and a card reader would have been nice but luckily my laptop has one built-in.

Overall, I’m a big fan of Ugreen products as they are always high quality and offer great performance for the money, this Revodok is no exception and I’m very pleased with it. For the features you get I still feel it represents pretty good value for money and it’s a product I’m more than happy to recommend.

An easy five stars from me, buy with total confidence!
